This morning I was treated to the sight of a tiny newborn deer nursing from its mother. It wasn’t within the range of my iPhone lens for a good shot, but its presence, along with the significance of the date reminds me of the cycles of life. Today my husband and I celebrate our 13^th anniversary – so this wild rose seems an appropriate choice for the image of the day…

A warm humid morning - mist sits on the water in front of the Rondout hydro electric plant and offers a slight coolness when it moves across the road in wispy tendrils.

The threat of rain and thunderstorms has given way to a lovely warm day with the promise of summer. I found these blackberries growing in the cool shade along the edge of our yard - nestled amongst maple saplings, buttercups and jack in the pulpits.

It's a warm, muggy, lazy Saturday - the bumblebee in this shot is feeling much more motivated than I am... He buzzes from flower to flower while I meander around my yard.

Another foggy rainy day - I managed to go for a walk without getting poured on. This field of buttercups has been catching my attention when I drive by on Big Hollow Road, so I decided to really push my luck and walk a bit further to capture their bright yellow mass in the morning mist.
